Breeding Ground
Breeding Ground is an annual masterclass program for emerging artists aged 26 and under, which forms a part of Carclew's industry development program and is not restricted to artform.
This program invites artists of national or international significance to ignite, inspire, provoke and challenge local practitioners and audiences, profile innovation and stimulate critical debate.
The format and content of this program varies each year and is impacted by local, national and international arts trends, social and cultural issues and events.
In the past artists including Maude Davey (Aus), Andy Packer (Aus) Morganics (Aus), Bruce Gladwin (Aus), The Graffiti Research Lab (NY), Blast Theory (UK), Format Collective (Aus), Hiromi Tango (Aus) and Craig Walsh (Aus) have worked with local practitioners through workshops, masterclasses and interventions throughout Adelaide, with a focus on sharing working practices with emerging artists living in South Australia.
