Artists invited to enter prestigious art prizeEstablished in 1998, the Fleurieu Art Prize and associated prize program celebrates the enduring importance and the contemporary significance of landscape painting in the Australian art world. The Fleurieu Art Prize, which at $50,000 is Australia's richest award for landscape painting, is complemented by four other prize categories, all valued at $10,000 each. The Prize Program is the cornerstone of the wider Fleurieu Biennale, a national visual arts festival, which takes place bi-annually within South Australia's picturesque Fleurieu. The Fleurieu Youth Scholarship provides up to $10,000 towards the cost of a program of professional development or exploration that provides a young person/s between 16 and 27 years of age a significant opportunity to advance their arts practice. The Fleurieu Peninsula will be the place to be from 7 to 30 November 2008 for the visual arts community. If you require further information, or would like an entry form, please contact Merilyn Cox, Coordinator, Fleurieu Biennale on 08 8323 7984 or email artprize@artprize.com.au or visit www.artprize.com.au | ||||||||||||||||||||
